I had the wonderful privilege of visiting the beautiful Nails & Brows Salon in Mayfair London a few weeks ago, on approaching the salon I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get to, just a short walk away from Green Park station, the boutique was perfectly situated on the never ending Berkley Street the road may I add parallel to Victoria Beckhams Flagship Store ;)
Upon arrival I was greeted by Nafisah and asked if I would like anything to drink, I asked for a glass of water only managed to drink two sips, I probably should have requested ice but hey! I did not come for free water. After a few short minutes I was escorted upstairs to begin my Brow Makeover.
As I lay on the beauty bed I was taken through a few steps, I was asked how I liked my brows, which was really nicebecause when I go to get my eyebrows threaded locally there is never much talking involved much less would they dare ask how I would like my brows,so it was a nice touch which showed that I mattered. So she asked me how I liked my brows and of course I went on to complain about how sparse my brows were, how annoying thin and unshapely they are things of that nature. Shockingly she said that my eyebrows were beautiful, of course I thought she was trying to make me feel good but nevertheless she proceeded to remove my ridiculously drawn on brows off and she began to take me through the procedure.
This included a Brow Tint using the Damone Roberts Range and then of course a brow reshaping using thread, she then also used a light pencil to 'fill in' my brows and taught me the technique to do the same, I was so blown away I have never seen my natural brows look this beautiful! After my brow treatment I was then taken back downstairs into a comfortable chair in the hands of Andreaa who proceeded to remove my acrylics using acetone and foils, she was extremely patient as she put the foils, removed the foils, filed the nail and put the foils back on, she repeated this process a few times until the acrylics finally came off in which she proceeded to tell me about the negative effects of acrylics and I promise you I was persuaded. We chatted and joked and the process was smooth and relaxing. Since getting my nails done my nails have remained hard which is impressive because my natural nails tend to bend and break within a day. Three weeks later they are still going strong and the nail varnish remains with a little regrowth. The manicure I got was the Shellac Gel Manicure. I loved that there was no waiting time for the nails to dry and I was left with a shiny finish.
